-----Do Music Right-----

Great singles, EPs and CDs can blow peoples minds. The power of a great song translates to fans and labels if it's done right.

Creating powerful, commercial music with artists is what we do.

It's fun, we laugh and have a great time, but it's also detailed work that we care about.

HOW WE APPROACH A PROJECT as PRODUCERS:

PRE-PRODUCTION:

The vision of a project is what we go for up front. It's what you get after meeting with the artist and finding out where they want to go and what their goals are. We then listen to and work on the songs and arrangements so they have tight melodies and form. (We can work with bands or write/program beats for artists, what ever is required.) Next up is working with the band or artist in rehearsal to really tighten up the songwriting, the song forms, and all musician performances before we head into the studio. That way we all are on the same page and we know just what we are going for before we head into the studio.

TRACKING:

When starting out tracking and into overdubbing, the details of the musicians' performances and quality of recorded sounds make all the difference emotionally. We make a super fun environment, yet focus on performance and reinforce what we worked on in pre-production. We pay attention to solid playing, singing, engineering, and tones at every step, but we also make sure you just have a great time focusing on your performance.

The most important thing is how those performances work for the song, and how the smallest details can change a great deal of emotion. That's what makes the difference between a good song and a great song.

MIXING:

Mixing is about revealing all the emotions that have been put into pre-production and tracking. It's where the song comes to life, and it's about getting the artist’s best hopes realized; it needs to be very professional sounding and super slammin' emotionally.

To really do that right, you have to care about the project and also really know what you are doing as an engineer. You have to have both the right skills technically and musically; that's who we are and what we do.

MASTERING:

Great mastering finishes off the project. Stereo mixes are EQ'd just right, levels are set for the CD or internet single, and song order and timing between songs are done. With the right person and great ears, it makes a record ready to be accepted by all people, from labels to fans.

From pre-production to mixing and mastering, all those things connect together to make a world class project.

It's a blast, it's hard work, it's full of serious laughs, and it's totally satisfying.

What could be better?
